Since I can remember, I've loved to design objects and draw and I always considered myself fortunate to be gifted with this ability. I received my early education in the German school in Valdivia, a beautiful small town in the south of Chile, which helped me to develop my skill for foreign languages. I was always fascinated by German technology and industrial design which left a deep influence on me. I spent hours and hours designing and drawing objects and architectural sketches during my school years obsessed with the search for perfect form and balance.
I received a degree in Industrial Design in 1976 at the University of Chile in Santiago, Chile. I worked for several years doing interior, industrial and graphic design at my own company in Chile. When computers started to emerge I always thought of them as a possible medium to enhance the ability of expressing art and especially design. So when that started to happen, I jumped in and opened myself to creative possibilities through this new concept of expression, the result continues to simply astonish me.
In 1990 I moved to the US and after a few years of getting settled I started to develop my computer skills and apply them into the field of graphic design and web development.
Forming JellyRoll Media in 2002 was the logical next step to put my skills into work.

I've been drawing since the age of eight years old. My goal was to be able to imitate any style of art from painting to cartooning. At the age of twelve I would watch commercials on tv and figure out new ways to sell a product just for the fun of it. My hobbies included inventing new products, writing short stories and songwriting.
I spent a brief hellish stint in the military as well as "working" in factories and at the age of twenty seven years I went off to study commercial art. After graduating I worked at two small advertising agencies.
At thirty, I went back to school for my BA (university of wisconsin, madison) while working at Wisconsin Public Television as a Print Designer. After graduating in 1993, I went to work on the university campus at the Division of Information Technology as a print designer/illustrator and webdesigner/programmer designing websites and print work. I was one of five graphic designers in the entire state of Wisconsin that knew how to hand-code html in 1993.
I was then hired as WISC-TV3 television's (a CBS affiliate) first webmaster and left there in 1996 to move to Colorado. In 1999 I was Sounds True's webmaster and helped set up their first first on-line store and web institute. I left Sounds True to pursue Flash animation at Boulder Media Group. I started a company in 2000 called techtionary.com and sold that company in 2003. I finally joined JellyRoll Media in 2004 were I love creating beautiful, functional design as well as video and animation.

Even as a child, I loved to draw faces and do paintings, and always considered it my special talent. I received a degree in Drawing and Painting from East Tennessee State University in 1976, then took off in a VW van to become a gypsy street portrait artist, my "basic training"...
I am fascinated by the Old Masters Techniques of which I am a student for life. In 1987 I graduated from Metro State University in Denver, Colorado with an Art Teaching degree. I also studied professional photography.
I have illustrated several books and participated in many graphic design projects as well as commercial art and advertisement. After many adventures, I settled with my beloved family in the wooded mountains above Boulder, Colorado where I live and work.
I was involved in illustrating the book "Lucretta of the Treefolk" by Marcelo Games and I am currently illustrating "Star Touching" by the same author. To view my work and latest projects you can visit my website at:
